My Treat

Sometimes we want something that is hard to justify: a luxury, an indulgence, something completely unnecessary that we obviously do not need but would still love to have. For some people, it might be a new phone, a gaming console, or a car. Whatever it is, the desire is still there

Library

Personally, I love taking photos. I have 62,000 pictures in my phone’s gallery, and I can assure you that I have deleted many more. I do not share them (they are simply my memories). I also record videos, but they take up so much storage that I usually delete them, although I still have a few golden hour timelapses that I absolutely love and treasure

Recently, I went on a short trip not far from home. It was around 40°C, and my phone decided it was too hot to take photos, so it simply stopped working. If only we had brought a camera with us

We actually have one at home, an Olympus PEN Lite E-PL7. It is beautiful, but I do not like bringing it on lightweight trips because it is quite bulky. I prefer using my phone, and I am also afraid the camera might get damaged while hiking or at the beach

I wanted something good and compact. Something that could be dropped, damaged, or even broken without completely breaking my heart. An action camera. That was what I wanted... a Go Pro. I remembered seeing a HERO3 sometime around 2013, so I started doing some research

Now I no longer wanted an action camera. I wanted an DJI Osmo Pocket 4. It is beautiful... but it has the same problem as the Olympus, So I lowered my excitement by a couple of levels and went back to what I was originally looking for: something I could put through hell while still getting great image quality, and I found it: the DJI Osmo Action 6

Here ↘ is a photo of me taken at home. I am currently sick and cannot go out, but the camera will be ready for my next trip
