Blog Under Construction
This is the first time I’m talking about the redesign of the website where I host my blog.

It’s normal for me to do things like this. My website is mine, and I like experimenting with it, so I use it as a guinea pig to try new things. Some of them work and some don’t, but I have fun doing it.
Lately, I’ve been obsessed with a blog I found. It’s beautiful. It has maps, book reviews, coffee shop reviews, and everything is really well organized, with little sparkles and colors everywhere. It’s a great portfolio!
And it made me jealous. I thought, I wish I had a website as beautiful as that too! Then it made me feel a bit embarrassed. Why have I never treated myself to making a website this functional?
In a past life, I spent quite a while working as a web developer, but eventually I started enjoying mobile development more and sold my soul to the devil. Now it’s time for redemption. So I’ve promised myself that I’m going to build a functional website with all the things I like, just to prove to myself that if I never had a website like this before, it wasn’t because I lacked the skills. I was just very lazy.
I’ve stopped using platforms like WordPress or Substack, and I want to keep things simpler. The idea is to make it a static website, and I think Astro is a great option. This means I can host it on places like Cloudflare or Netlify for free, while still having a lot of flexibility because I can just code anything I need myself… and maybe Chappie can help a little.
It works right now, but there are still a few things missing. The RSS feed is broken, for example, and I need to fix it.
