homemade apple cake
It was Sunday afternoon and my partner felt like making a homemade apple cake for coffee time. It was my first time baking, but I remembered how my mother used to do it, so we got to work to make it turn out as well as possible.

We had everything we needed in the pantry:
- 2 eggs
- 120 g of sugar
- 200 g of flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- salt
- 100 ml of milk
- 2 apples
- ground cinnamon
Steps:
- First, we beat the eggs with the sugar, creating a yellow, sweet mixture that was really tasty.
- Then we mixed the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, and salt) and sifted them over the egg mixture, incorporating the milk.
- Finally, we added the chopped apple and cinnamon, tasted it, and it was very good.
We poured the batter into a pan and put it in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 45 minutes.

An hour later, we were drinking tea and eating homemade apple cake, turning that Sunday into a day with a special meal.
I’m very critical of what I do, so next time we’ll try the following experiments:
- Add vanilla or powdered sugar
- Mix the milk with black tea
- Place apple chunks on the bottom of the pan
